We provide comprehensive family dentistry with an emphasis on integrative care. However, at our office, you may also find a strong emphasis on preventative care. What exactly is preventative dentistry?
Preventative dentistry is exactly what it sounds like. Your teeth and beautiful smile are meant to last a lifetime with the right care, but sometimes extra steps must be taken to prevent cavities/decay, enamel wear, gum disease, bone loss, and more advanced pathology. Dr. Dailey and our team of friendly, professional dental hygienists and assistants will help guide you towards steps you can take at home to maintain your smile.
Brush twice daily with a soft-bristled toothbrush and fluoridated toothpaste to remove plaque from your teeth and gums.
Floss daily to remove debris from inter-proximal (“in between”) surfaces of teeth where your toothbrush cannot reach.
Rinse daily with an antibacterial mouthwash to provide an additional layer of protection against tooth decay, periodontal disease, and halitosis (bad breath).
Prophylaxis (cleaning) appointments and dental examinations can be scheduled Monday-Thursday with one of our experienced hygienists and Dr. Dailey to help keep your smile healthy and beautiful. We may also take a set of low-dose radiographs to monitor for decay, bone loss, root resorption, and other pathology or defects, to ensure you’re receiving the most comprehensive care.
